  • Is the romance of wine drinking really in how the wine is opened or how the wine tastes?

Wines are broadly classified in two regions, the "Old World" and the "New World". The old world consist of wine growing regions from France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and Spain. The wine making in some these countries dates back to almost 11th century when monks from the monasteries used to make wines. Many of the grape varietals were originated in these regions. We will be starting a series of activities with a fun party at the swanky Four Seasons Hotel this month followed by a big wine fair at the Radio Club in October. Apart from this we will also be starting a series of educational post twice every week where our member will be able to get tips on wine and wine drinking. We have all sorts of members - some highly educated in wine and many who are beginning to explore the fascinating wine world. The initial posts will talk about the wine basics and could be redundant to few...so please bear with us for a few weeks! I encourage you to send your comments to me directly for your views or any discrepancy in my posts.
