Grenache, Shiraz
Red Wine
The Halliwell (meaning “masterful”) Shiraz Grenache is no exception. This Australian red wine comprising of 100% Barossa fruit, the Halliwell Grenache comes from the Rolf Binder prize 'Western Ridge' vineyard on the edge of the Marananga bowl.

Robert Parker Notes : Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Shiraz / Grenache Halliwell offers vague red and black berry notes with an underlying spice box character. Medium-bodied, it gives ample fruitiness in the mouth accented by the faintest hint of baking spices, though generally its a little straightforward and clipped in the finish.

Tasting Notes : The true key to the wine is the Grenache. In the years Shiraz is strong and bold, the Grenache is somewhat subdued but in others, the Grenache leaps out with spice cherries and strong tannins.
